Updating WordPress with WP Toolkit
Learn how to update your WordPress installation using the WP Toolkit in Plesk. Keeping WordPress up to date ensures you have the latest features, bug fixes, and security patches for the best performance and protection.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk and select WordPress from the left-hand toolbar
- If an update is available, a message will appear advising that your WordPress installation is out of date
- Under the Status section, click Update to X.X.X (where X.X.X is the latest version available)
- Select the WordPress installation you'd like to update. We highly recommend clicking Restore Point before updating, so you can easily roll back if anything goes wrong
- Click the Update button
- The progress of the update will be displayed on screen
- Once complete, a success message will confirm the update has been applied
