Enabling Maintenance Mode in WordPress with WP Toolkit
Learn how to enable a maintenance page on your WordPress website using the WP Toolkit in Plesk. This feature lets you display a temporary page to visitors while you make updates or carry out maintenance on your site.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal and open the WP Toolkit
- In the bottom right of the WP Toolkit dashboard, toggle the Maintenance Mode switch to on
- To change what's displayed on the maintenance page, click the Settings icon next to the Maintenance Mode toggle
- If you'd also like to restrict access to the WordPress admin dashboard, toggle that option on
- To replace the maintenance page entirely, click the Customise button and upload your own HTML file
- To edit the text shown on the default maintenance page, update the fields in the section provided
- If you'd like to add a countdown timer, enable the toggle and set the date and time for it to end
- You can also add your social media links to the maintenance page
- Click OK to save your changes
