Submitting Your Website to Google for Indexing
Learn how to submit your website to Google for indexing so it can appear in Google search results. This process lets Google know about your website's pages so it can crawl and index them, making them visible to users when they search for relevant topics.
Steps
- To request indexing for individual pages, use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console. You'll need to be an owner or full user of the Search Console property to request indexing
- If you have a large number of pages, submit a sitemap instead. A sitemap helps Google discover all the URLs on your site. You can learn how to create and submit a sitemap through Google's official guide
- Crawling can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Be patient and monitor your progress using the Index Status report or the URL Inspection tool in Search Console
