Changing the PHP Version in Plesk
Learn how to change the PHP version used for your website in Plesk. Keeping your PHP version up to date helps ensure your website stays compatible and performs at its best.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
- Select Websites & Domains from the left-hand menu
- Click on PHP Settings under the Dev Tools column. If you have more than one domain, expand the domain you'd like to update first
- Click the dropdown menu for the PHP version and select the version you require. If a version is marked as (Outdated), we strongly recommend avoiding it as it may contain security vulnerabilities
- From the dropdown menu, select how you'd like PHP to run. For the best performance, we recommend FPM application served by Apache
- Check that the rest of your PHP settings have carried over correctly
- Once you're happy with your changes, click OK or Apply to update your domain
- A success message will appear confirming the changes have been applied
