Creating a New Database in Plesk
Learn how to create a new database in Plesk for any web application or dataset you need to store. This guide walks you through each step so you can get your database set up quickly and easily.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
- Select Databases from the left-hand menu
- Select the website you'd like to create the database for
- Click + Add Database at the top of the page
- Enter a unique name for your database and select the website it relates to. If the database is for a standalone application, you can leave the related site blank
- Create a unique database username and a strong password. Choose a username that isn't easy to guess and pair it with a secure password
- If you'd like this user to have access to all of your databases, tick the option provided. This is not recommended for security reasons
- Select the access control settings for the database
- Click OK to save and create your new database
