Installing WordPress with WP Toolkit in Plesk

Learn how to install WordPress using the WP Toolkit in Plesk. This handy tool makes the process quick and easy, so you can get your new website up and running in no time.

Steps

  1. Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
  2. Select WordPress from the left-hand toolbar
  3. Click the Install button at the top to open the setup wizard
  4. Enter the installation path for your site. By default, WordPress will install at the root of your domain, meaning visitors will go straight to your WordPress site
  5. Enter a title for your website. If you need to install an older version of WordPress, you can select one from the Version dropdown menu
  6. An administrator account will be automatically created using your details for security purposes. If you'd prefer to set the username and password manually, you can do so here. You'll also be able to log in automatically from your Zeniar Portal using Single Sign-On (SSO)
  7. Database and automatic update settings are configured by the server for the best security. If you'd like to adjust these, you can do so using the dropdown menus
  8. Once you're happy with your configuration, click the Install button at the bottom
  9. A progress indicator will appear in the bottom right corner. Click Detailed Progress to view the full installation status
  10. Once the installation is complete, a confirmation window will be displayed

Your WordPress site is now installed and ready to go. You can log in and start building your website.
