Creating an FTP User in Plesk
Learn how to create an FTP user in Plesk so you can connect to and manage files on your website using an FTP client. This guide walks you through each step to get you up and running quickly.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk from your Zeniar Portal
- Select Websites & Domains from the left-hand menu
- Expand the website you'd like to set up FTP access for
- Under Files & Databases, select FTP Access
- Click Add an FTP Account
- Enter a username you'll use to log in via FTP
- The home directory defaults to your website's root folder. If you'd prefer to limit FTP access to a specific folder, set the folder path here
- Set a strong password and confirm it. For the best security, we recommend using the Generate Password option to create a unique, secure password
- Click OK to create the FTP user
