Password Protecting Your WordPress Website
Learn how to password protect your entire WordPress website using the WP Toolkit in Plesk. This is useful if you'd like to keep your site private or if it's currently under active development.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal and open the WP Toolkit
- Toggle on the Password Protect option
- Enter a username and password for the site, then click Protect. All Zeniar passwords must be strong — we recommend using the Generate button to create a random, secure password
- The toggle will now show as on, confirming your site is password protected. To remove password protection at any time, simply toggle it back off
- The next time you or any visitor accesses the website, a username and password prompt will appear
